With a goal of $10,000, the Susan Uhlig Pollinator Garden will feature a beautiful pollinator habitat and respite for our pollinating visitors and human guests. This garden will joyfully reflect the beauty and vibrant life that Susan brought to all who met her.
Susan dedicated many passionate years to landscape design and floral arrangements reflected through her own business endeavors, involvement in the Hardy Garden Club and as president of the Bonita Bay Garden Club.
She has a special place in the heart of the Everglades Wonder Gardens as she led the efforts of the Bonita Bay Club to help save the Wonder Gardens from commercial development.
With inspirational zeal she saw that the gardens would be protected for the future generations to enjoy.
We welcome your donations in support of the Susan Uhlig Pollinator Garden and in loving memory of an always energetic and creative, natural leader of family, community and social activities.
Additionally, The Susan Uhlig Memorial Pollinator Garden is a companion garden to our series of Pollination Pavilions, including the Ernie & Sandie Schaub Orchid & Butterfly Pavilion, Terry & Arlene Riegel Lorikeet Pavilion, Jim & Julie Oberwies Family Honeycreeper Pavilion and the Robert & Karin Moe Tea House. All of these experiences reinforce our environmental education mission and programming, exposing guests and local children to the importance of the natural world around us.
