    Amigo Flamingo

    Gender: Male

    Age: Hatched 1980

    Bio: Amigo is the tallest and the leader of the flamboyance!
    He was likely hatched at Everglades Wonder Gardens.

    Amiga Flamingo

    Gender: Female

    Age: Hatched 1981

    Bio: Amiga was likely hatched at Everglades Wonder Gardens. She is one of our friendlier flamingos and enjoys feeding from people’s hands!

    Smiley the American Alligator

    Gender: Female

    Age: Hatched August 5, 2020

    Bio: Still a small hatchling, Smiley’s favorite food is minnows, but she is still developing her taste!

    Chompey the American Alligator

    Gender: Male

    Age: Hatched 2011

    Bio: The largest male at Everglades Wonder Gardens, Chompey is over 8 feet long. He is also very round! His favorite activity is sunbathing. He has been here since 2013.

    Larry the Rainbow Lorikeet

    Gender: Male

    Age: Hatched 2012

    Bio: Larry loves shredding his toys to pieces! He has the flock record for quickest demolition of a rope! He also enjoys chopping plants to bits. When you visit Larry, try to keep him entertained!

    Lori the Rainbow Lorikeet

    Gender: Female

    Age: Hatched 2014

    Bio: Lori loves being boisterous! Plug your ears when you visit her because she likes making her opinions known. Just make sure to bring plenty of nectar and remind her not to talk with her mouth full.

  • Wednesday, October 21, 2020 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Enjoy an evening of wonder designed just for educators! This one of a kind event will feature ambassador animals, examples of new program opportunities, a special keeper chat, door prizes, and more! Refreshments will be provided. Gates and Wonder Shoppe open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Please select the number of places you would like to reserve, then select the date below to make your reservation.   Please have the email confirmation and your ID when you arrive so we can confirm your reservation. As we are trying to accommodate everyone who visits us safely and efficiently. No-shows are not refundable.  By purchasing your admission on this site, you are agreeing that any no-show is non-refundable. Our Hours are 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM  7 days a week! Please note that your admission is good for any time during the day that you purchased it for.  We do not require that you select a specific time to visit us. If you have a BOGO coupon, please enter the "Get One" quantity on the appropriate line below.
  • Join us November 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for Terrific Terrariums! Get messy and learn about plants while you make your very own little ecosystem. At our two hour event in the Tea House, you will:
    • Make your own terrarium to take home!
    • Learn about the different parts of plants.
    • Learn how to create your own fertilizer.
    • Get a guided tour of the Wonder Gardens.
    • Scouts can earn a Gardener Badge!
    Fun for kids from ages 8 to 12, and parents too! See the variety of flora and fauna, along with the opportunity to see Flamingos and Alligators up close!  (But not too close for the gators!)  
  • KinderNature  An early childhood program geared toward 3-5 years old. The program focuses on inspiring and creating an appreciation for nature all around them. This program is built to have the child and adult learn together. The program is about 45 minutes and will include a themed story, activity, craft, and snack. Time 10am-10:45 When:  November 17th! Fee: Non-member $15/child includes admission and adult $12; Members $7/child and member adults free. Currently, with Covid-19 recommendations, registration is limited to 10 children.
